A historical timeline

Transport XX

On 19 April 1943, Transport XX was halt in Boortmeerbeek. 17 people could escape. Another 219 people steadily escaped from the train as it continued its journey across Belgium, of whom 120 ultimately escaped deportation. 26 were killed immediately, mostly shot by the guards on the train.
